« Nuances and emotions »

Etude for the right hand: for singing trimplet drums.

When drums carry its melody, the same hand must both accompany and sing. The independence of the fingers is the only way to achieve the desired result, which is to make the melody distinctly heard. For that, the finger that touches the singing note must hold it in its full value, and make it resonate properly, without damaging the consistency of the accompanying drums. In thess drums, the thumb will be used as a pivot point to increase the strength of the small finger. There would be too much to say about the amount of nuance that this study is susceptible to, and we will refer to the student’s feeling. All crotchets must be linked together as much as possible.
